Fujifilm FinePix S700 Digital Camera
The Fujifilm FinePix S700 is great for anyone seeking an affordable long-zoom digital camera. If you stick to basics like moderate ISO speed settings and semi-manual exposure modes, the Fujifilm FinePix S700 offers quite a bit for your money.
The powerful 10x optical zoom lens & 1/2.5″ 7 megapixel standard CCD imager helps you capture perfect images. Dual media slots (SD/MMC and xD-Picture Card) give you more storage options, while the 2.5″ LCD display helps you capture each image perfectly.
There’s plenty in the Fuji FinePix S700 to cater to the needs of advanced amateurs looking to gain maximum control over their photos.

Fuji Finepix S700 Digital Camera
Fujinon lens technology
The S700 features a 10x optical zoom with a 35mm focal range equivalent of 38-380mm. Bring your subject closer and clearer with high-quality Fujinon lens technology.
Picture stabilization
Fast moving subject? No problem. Fujifilm’s Picture Stabilization technology utilizes the heightened sensitivity of the FinePix S700 at ISO 1600 and high-speed shutter settings to prevent camera shake or freeze subject movement, keeping blur to a minimum. This easy to access feature (selectable on the mode dial) let’s the FinePix S700 choose the correct light sensitivity and best-matching shutter speed automatically, for the highest quality digital pictures.
i-Flash Intelligent Flash
i-Flash fine-tunes flash output for shooting with high-sensitivity settings. It recognizes scene conditions and determines the optimum flash output to ensure superb results. Subjects in the foreground appear natural, and background detail is bright and clear. The difference is especially noticeable in the natural facial tones of people in your pictures, in close-ups and group photos alike.
2.5-inch LCD display and Electronic Viewfinder
The FinePix S700 features two different ways to frame and view your shot. Choose from either the large, 2.5-inch 230k pixel LCD Display, or the .24-inch 230k pixel Electronic Viewfinder. Both offer a 60/fps refresh rate, and a brilliantly bright and detailed view of your image in either shooting or playback mode.
Dual media slot convenience
The Finepix S700 features a xD/SD compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD Picture Card or SD media to store and transfer your photos. This new capability assures compatibility with a wider variety of applications than ever before, and allows users to choose the media technology that is right for them.

Selected Customer Reviews:
“This is the FOURTH digital camera I have purchased in the last five years, and it is the only one I have been happy with. I have owned a Olympus, a Cannon, and an off-brand, and they all had design and function problems. I have found this camera to be a breath of fresh air. It is easy to use, it’s comfortable to hold, the buttons and controls are convenient and sturdy. I had a baby in May of 2007 and have taken hundreds of pictures already, and they have turned out beautifully with almost no effort on my part!”
“I’ve had an opportunity to actually shoot with the camera now. My niece loves to have her photos taken and she makes an excellent subject. I have shot approximately four hundred images and three or four short videos. To may surprise the camera is still running off the original batteries supplied with it. Fujifilm has out performed here in the energy usage. I particularly like the auto setting for the majority of the pictures. The portrait mode adds a nice softness to the images. I’ve used the shutterfly.com package deal that came with the camera’s purchase. The photos received thus far have been amazing. The colors are vibrated, crisp and natural. Only a handful of images were shot indoors the rest were outside past mid day. I must say this has been the best camera I’ve owned in quite a while. It’s easy to use, fits well in the hand, takes wonderful pictures and easy on the batteries. Generally when using a digital camera I feel pressured not to use the LCD display, with the Fuji S700 the battery level is reading high.
At first I thought there was going to be an issue with the video shot using this camera. On one computer the audio did not sync up with the video. It was hilarious watching it but very disappointing. When playing back on the camera everything was as it should be. So I downloaded the avi file to my main workstation. Opening up media player everything was fine and the video played correctly. The mic has good pickup but no adjusts to aid in blocking those windy days like ones found on camcorders.
To sum everything up — I’m very pleased with my purchase, the extended battery life, and most importantly the quality of the photos. I haven’t had an opportunity to test the TEXT feature yet nor the manual settings. I’ll attempt to do this soon and post a second update.
If you are considering a new camera or even one as a second or replacement, the Fuji S700 is really a fantastic choice.”
